you live in virginia and work in DC, and you’re not a lawyer. how’s that even possible?
I’ll be a spoilsport and say that this kind of list is impossible, because you don’t know how your life would have gone if you’d taken the other road. For example, I went to a west coast school, instead of the alternative east coast school I could have chosen. But, if I’d gone east, I wouldn’t have met my husband. The rest of my life has been defined by his presence (and his by mine). But if I’d gone to Boston, would my life have been ruined?
I think a better meme would be to list the 10 worst decisions one has ever made. There at least, you know the consequences of your choice.

What a terrible spoilsport I am (didn’t get the ode to marriage and your husband under the link)!
Congratulations!
I too started dating my husband at 18; we are now 40, have been married 18 years, lived in 5 different cities together, gone to 3 different schools, held 5 different jobs, and had 2 children.; It’s weird to think about the our history together, that we’ve been with each other all of our adult life.

Many happy returns! Two of my closest friends announced their engagement today, I hope they’ll be as happy about their decision as you and T are about yours.
