Wiped
My in-laws are visiting, and we took advantage of the extra hands to do some long-overdue home maintenance. Today we fixed the kitchen light fixture, moved the fridge so we could clean behind and under it (for the first time since we moved in almost 8 years ago), and disconnected and moved the washer/dryer so we could attempt to clean the dryer vent (it’s going to need professional help). I’m too zonked to write a thoughtful post. Instead, I’m going to get into bed and read Jaran, which I got out of the library following Jody’s recommendation.

Last fall, our dryer stopped working because the vent pipe was clogged, and I had to call our maintenance guys to come fix it. They came over, disconnected the hose from the dryer, and shoved a leaf blower into it, then wrapped it in a towel to seal the “joint”. Then one guy went outside to watch the vent while the other turned on the blower and ran it until the first guy saw a chunk of fuzz come out and hollered at him to stop.
Might be worth a try before calling someone, if you have or can borrow a leaf blower from someone. Can you reverse the flow on a shop vac? That might work too. Basically anything that could put out enough wind to generate the air pressure to push the clog through.

ACK! The stress! The STRESS!
I forgot that when you recommend books, people might actually take you up on them….
